Apple Store iOS Mobile Apps:

myRockPaperScissors

A beautiful and fun version of Rock Paper Scissors.  Great for making random decisions!  The game’s objective is to defeat the opponent (computer) by selecting an object that defeats the opponent’s object. Rock beats scissors, scissors beat paper, and paper beats rock. If both players choose the same shape, the game is a tie.  Coming soon are animations and some sounds.

myGPSapp

Works on iPhone and iPad.  It is a simple and minimal-interface GPS app using the original iOS mapkit framework, that shows the landmarks around your current location.  You can search for things you might want to find around you such as dog parks, or gas, or burgers.   I plan to add directions from your location to the selected landmark to this app in the next deployment, and provide an Apple Watch version in the store as well. I am in the process of upgrading this app to the new version of mapkit.

HKStepMonitor

Use this app on your iPhone to quickly and easily find your step history and track it without digging through HealthKit. Did you even realize your iPhone counted your steps even without an Apple Watch?  Note: HealthKit is not currently available on iPad, so don’t bother downloading this app to your iPad at this time.  Wearable health monitoring is the latest rage, and there is no doubt there is a demand for apps that can creatively and easily report a specific data point to the user, and already be narrowed down to just what they wish to monitor and know, and without learning and digging through a more complex app.  Step history data from HealthKit is a great example of this.  Appealing to the minimalist user who doesn’t want to learn yet another complicated app, here is an example of this hot software niche.  HKStepMonitor is a simple utility that uses Apple HealthKit to display the user’s steps for the week.  Future revisions will be adding tab views for other key monitored entities.  Heart rate, and other health related activities available in Apple HealthKit for example.

Client Apps:

CORA MobileEdge – A brilliant idea for an app that I was able to help get finished up and published to the Apple Store for SkyPeak.  I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work on this cool application and help get them into a better position than I found them in.  I wrapped up coding required to get it published, and reworked some software development logistics and got them through the Apple review system – which can be a real challenge for white label apps and apps using VPN, which this is both.

This is a B2B white label app for cellular providers and also a B2C consumer app, so you can find it on the Apple Store and download it yourself if your cellular provider does not already supply it for you.  This app puts the user in control of how much data comes down into the mobile device over the data network when streaming video data from video streaming providers.   Providers of streaming video will always send far more data than the device needs, causing the user to consume their data plans when streaming video at faster rate than their device can actually use.  This product optimizes the streaming data bandwidth to what your device can fully use and reshapes that consumption without affecting the user experience.  Great product!  I recommend it!  They sent me this picture after I got it all approved and up on the Apple Store in celebration of the critical milestone.
